About Us
A Commitment to Building a Beggar-Free Bangladesh
The importance of serving humanity is immense in Islam. Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, created this world for the welfare and benefit of mankind, and Islam teaches us not only to serve human beings but also to care for and serve all of Allah’s creation.
Two hadiths capture this duty: a prostitute of the Children of Israel was forgiven by Allah and granted Paradise because she gave water to a thirsty dog, while a woman was sent to the Fire because she imprisoned a cat and neither fed it nor gave it water. It is therefore our responsibility to serve the creations of Allah — and human beings are the noblest of them.
In our country, countless people live difficult lives for various reasons. Some are deprived of proper education, some do not have enough food, some cannot afford medical treatment, and some are burdened with false legal cases. As a result, many are forced to beg, while many others refrain from begging but are unable to ask anyone for help. Through this foundation, we will strive to stand beside suffering humanity, InshaAllah.

Ashara Foundation
Named after the Ashara-e-MubashsharaNamed in Honor of the Blessed Companions
The status and dignity of the Companions of the Prophet ( the Sahabah ) are unparalleled. They had the honor of accompanying our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and after the Prophets and Messengers they are among the finest people to have lived on Earth — their lives dedicated to the welfare of humanity.
Among the Companions, the Ashara-e-Mubashshara — the ten Companions who were given the glad tidings of Paradise together in a hadith — hold a particularly distinguished status. To preserve and honor the memory of these distinguished Companions, the foundation has been named “Ashara Foundation.”

Rehabilitation of Beggars
“We want to build a beggar-free Bangladesh.”
Begging is commonly seen on the streets, roads and public transport of Bangladesh. While many of those who beg are genuinely suffering and in need, there are also individuals who engage in fraudulent or organized begging — some have turned begging into a profitable means of livelihood.
As a result, genuinely needy people are often deprived of assistance, and donors face uncertainty about whether the person they help is genuinely poor. Accordingly, the foundation works toward the rehabilitation of beggars:
- Verification and assessment of genuinely poor and vulnerable individuals.
- Provision of food, clothing, accommodation and medical care.
- Religious education and vocational training alongside basic necessities.
- Capital or employment so they can build a sustainable livelihood through business or employment.
- Helping them leave begging behind and return to a dignified and self-sufficient life.
